Saturday 10 October          Michael Butterfield:  Elgar’s Part Songs

We are delighted to welcome the return visit of Michael Butterfield.  Following his brilliant talk about ‘King Olaf’ two years ago, he now turns his attention to that most understated area of Elgar’s output, his part songs.  Michael will demonstrate that Elgar wrote part-songs throughout his life and that they contain some of his most advanced musical ideas.
